Aviation regulation in the UK will be effected by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in 2012. Many aspects of the regulation will be enshrined in European law and all will be enforced by the CAA.
The BHA will continue to play a vital role in Europe representing the UK industry through its membership of and support for the European Helicopter Association (EHA) that has direct access to the rule-making body. Additionally, the BHA is an affiliate member of the Helicopter Association International (HAI) and a member of the International Federation of Helicopter Associations (IFHA) that facilitate its representation at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
