Earlier this year, the BHAB Council of Management voted to change the name of the British Helicopter Advisory Board to more closely reflect its activities. Following approval of a Special Resolution at the AGM, held on 6^th November 2008, it was agreed to change our name to the British Helicopter Association. The new name was approved by the Registrar of Companies for England and Wales on 18^th November.

Henceforth, we will be known as the British Helicopter Association

We have begun the process of producing new stationery and literature, as well as creating new website and email addresses. Our new logo is at the top of this Press Release and has also been sent as an attachment. In the meantime, you can still access our existing website, www.bhab.org, and please carry on using our existing email addresses for the time being. Payments should also be made in your normal way until further notice.

The British Helicopter Association is the civil helicopter industry's trade association.

The BHA negotiates with government departments and the industry's regulator - the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) - on behalf of the industry and promotes the helicopter's diverse roles to the general public.

This site is designed to give you as much information as possible about helicopters in Britain. It is categorised to speed you quickly to the requisite information. There is also an alphabetical index page to help you in your search.

BHA members may access their own area, which includes copies of the members' newsletter 'The Rotorhead', Minutes of Meetings, BHA Events and Special Events.
