By becoming a member of the BHA our members are committing to a set of best practices and standards. We work on their behalf to represent the industry to Government, within Europe, to regulators and the public. By working together and sharing knowledge and experience, they strive to achieve the highest levels of professionalism and quality of operation.
Full Membership of the BHA covers large and small commercial helicopter operating companies, corporate and business operators, charter and public service operators such as Police, air ambulance, helicopter emergency medical services and Search and Rescue. It includes manufacturing and maintenance support companies. Associate Membership covers many other types of companies and individuals that have an interest in commercial or private helicopter operations such as pilots, engineers, users, insurers, consultants, brokers and helipad owners and operators.
The BHA represents the rotorcraft industry to UK authorities and departments and responds on its behalf to consultations and proposals where appropriate. The Association works closely with its membership, industry partners and allied associations to ensure that it speaks with one representative voice. Internationally, the BHA works closely with the European Helicopter Association (EHA) to ensure that UK interests are secure in European legislation. The BHA is an affiliate member of the Helicopter Association International (HAI)
